Thanks to the Southside Mothers Against Drunk Driving for inviting my wife  and me as guests to their annual Law Enforcement Awards Dinner again this year. I was very proud to see so many Va. Beach officers there, and especially glad to see  4 of our officers receive awards for their excellent work in making DUI arrests. Off. Bradley Wesseler had 114 arrests! I also appreciate MADD President Mike Goodove’s remarks recognizing the strong committment Chesapeake Commonwealth’s Attorney Nancy Parr and I have made to aggressive  DUI prosecutions. We heard a great address from Dana Schrad, Executive Director of the Va.Assoc.of Chiefs of Police . (Dana has also given my re-election her personal endorsement.)
