I was honored and privileged to be asked to stand with my good friend Bob McDonnell at his press conference in Richmond where he emphasized his many initiatives on behalf of public safety and law enforcement in Va. Bob currently has the endorsements of 111 elected Commonwealth’s Attorneys and Sheriffs across the state. Many of those were present at the press conference, as well as some retired Va. Beach police officers and fellow FOP members. Bob asked me to serve on his public safety advisory coalition early this year, and this week I agreed to serve in a similar capacity for Attorney General candidate Ken Cuccinelli.
In the evening, I was asked to give an update on the sucessful efforts of my office to help keep our city one of the safest in America for a city our size. Thanks to that Va. Beach Citizens Advisory Committee for their interest and support and for the very complimentary remarks of the the police precinct captain regarding my efforts.
