January 15th: VBPD Crime Solvers Banquet

Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Vivian Henderson became the first Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney to MC the Virginia Beach Crime Solvers annual banquet, awards ceremony, and officer installation on January 15th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Commonwealth’s Attorney Harvey Bryant attended the ceremony, along with Mayor William Sessoms, City Manager Jim Spore, Chief of Police Jim Cervera, Councilwoman Rosemary Wilson, Under Sheriff Dennis Free, Schoolboard Chairman Dan Edwards, and other city officials. Harvey presented a check from the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office asset forfeiture fund to Crime Solvers for the third year in a row. Officer William Ahern and Detective Mark Laino were recognized by the Chief of Police for their excellent follow-up on Crime Solvers tips. Vivian did a wonderful job and everyone enjoyed themselves!
