The Va. Association of Commonwealth’s Attorneys presented Harvey with the prestigious Robert F. Horan, Jr. award for Outstanding Service at the conclusion of their 70th Annual Meeting Saturday night.  Bryant is the 20th receipent of the award, and the 1st from Southeastern Hampton Rds .in 13 years. The award is designated for “Outstanding and Dedicated Service To The Association, to the Citizens of the Commonwealth, and to the Commonwealth’s Attorneys of Virginia”.  Bryant accepted the award to a standing ovation, and credits God, his wife, and  his fantastic office for their support, wisdom and encouragement. The Association represents 120 elected Commonwealth’s Attorneys, and their approximately 800 assistants. Bob Horan, the nationally recognized Faifax County Commonwealth’s Attorney for 40 years, was on hand for the presentation.” Having Bob here was a real thrill. I’ll never forget teaching my 1st  class to our Association in 1977, right before  Bob was to teach. The place was packed, but I knew they were there to hear to Bob. He was an icon and hero for us even then” Bryant said.
