Harvey Bryant attended the “Let’s Protect Our Children” Summit on July 16, 2012, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Officials from the cities of Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Portsmouth participated in the summit, hoping that together, Hampton Roads will see a decrease in the number of children who die at the hands of their caretaker. In attendance with Bryant were Virginia Beach City Manager Jim Spore and Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Philip Hollowell, currently the leader of the Office’s Juvenile Prosecution Team.
