Harvey L. Bryant, Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Virginia Beach, announced today that a grand jury sitting in Virginia Beach Circuit Court returned indictments against 73 defendants, charging a total of 162 felony offenses.
The indictments charged a broad range of criminal offenses, from abduction to credit card fraud, burglary, robbery with the use of firearms, prescription fraud, third and fourth offense DUI’s, grand larceny, forgery, malicious wounding and sex offenses. Twenty-six percent (26%) of those indicted are charged with felony drug offenses.
