Harvey L. Bryant, Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Virginia Beach, announced that a grand jury meeting in Virginia Beach Circuit Court today returned indictments against 63 individuals charging 133 offenses. Among the charges were 35 felony drug offenses, 13 grand larcenies, 3 robberies, 5 burglaries, 7 malicious woundings, 3 firearm charges, and 6 petit larcenies (3rd or subsequent offense).
Of the felony drug offenses, 28 involve prescription fraud or forgery. Each of those offenses carries a sentence of up to 5 years in the penitentiary. Those 7 individuals are:
