Bryant Receives Meyera B. Orbendorf Human Rights Award for Achievement in Government
Commonwealth’s Attorney Harvey Bryant was honored at the 19th Annual Human Rights Awards Program on March 21st at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. He received the Meyera E. Orbendorf Human Rights Award for Achievement in Government. The Human Rights Commission selected recipients based on “their efforts to promote cultural diversity, social awareness and human rights in our community.” Other recipients included Jack Praver, Joann Mancuso, Susan Mayo, Mariah Smith, and the Black Law Enforcement Pioneer Committee. Harvey was humbled and honored to be recognized by the Human Rights Commission for his efforts in our community, and to have attended this fine event along with so many other City officials and citizens of Virginia Beach.
